BRAMLO ADVICE

Can I get a business website without paying upfront?

You can avoid a separate upfront build fee. That is different from having no costs before launch, or owning a completed website for free.

Separate the build fee from the first subscription

Bramlo’s standard brochure service has a £0 setup fee and costs £39 per paid month. You do not pay to submit an initial preview request. If you continue after the preview and final approval, the first subscription payment is taken before manual launch checks. We agree the timing beforehand.

Keep a small launch budget for the domain

You purchase the domain separately in your own registrar account. Check registration, renewal, transfer rules and any extra products before checkout. A cheap introductory domain offer does not necessarily reflect its future renewal price. Business email is also outside Bramlo’s standard website price unless expressly agreed. If you already own a domain, tell us which services rely on it so the connection can be planned carefully.

Prepare the brief before requesting a design

Write a short explanation of your business, your main services and the areas you genuinely serve. Gather your logo and photographs you have permission to publish. List the questions customers ask before they buy. An electrician might need to distinguish domestic work from commercial enquiries; a cleaning company might need to separate regular cleaning from end-of-tenancy work. This helps choose the most useful pages within the five-page limit.

Understand what the free preview means

An initial preview is a way to assess the direction, not unlimited unpaid design and development. We ask a few follow-up questions before starting. The standard process is First Draft → Your Feedback → Final Version → Live. One consolidated pre-launch revision round is included: send the changes together. Our mistake corrections do not consume that allowance. Approving a design does not itself take payment or automatically publish a site.

Read the ongoing commitment

There is no minimum contract term. You can cancel anytime, with ordinary cancellation effective at the end of your paid billing period. The managed service then ends. You keep your domain and content you supplied, but the package is not an outright purchase of the code or design. If continued independent hosting or an export matters, discuss it before choosing the subscription. Do not assume “no upfront fee” means you eventually own the whole site.

Avoid a mismatch between the headline and the brief

The package includes up to five brochure pages, hosting, SSL, foundational on-page SEO and ongoing maintenance. It does not automatically include ecommerce, custom booking software, a client portal, specialist integrations or paid third-party tools. Additional work requires a separate accepted quote. Explain every essential feature before agreeing the scope, rather than discovering later that the headline package cannot meet the brief.

A simple decision checklist

Confirm the setup fee, first payment date, domain cost, renewal arrangements, page scope, revision limit and cancellation date. Ask who keeps which materials at the end of service. Compare the monthly arrangement with an upfront website purchase. When the scope fits, request your free initial preview to see a concrete starting point.

See an idea for your business

Tell us what you do, who you serve and what your website needs to explain. Your initial preview request is free, with no obligation and no payment details needed.
