Is a £39/month website good value?
It can be, if you want a managed brochure site and understand what the subscription covers. The useful question is whether the service fits your needs and budget.
Start with the job you need the website to do
Write down the decisions your customer must make before contacting you. A cleaner may need to explain regular versus one-off work, service areas and how a quotation works. A fabricator may need to show materials, workshop capabilities and completed jobs. If these needs fit a small brochure site, you may not need expensive custom software. If you need accounts, a shop or automated quoting, £39 for a brochure service is the wrong comparison.
Put the arithmetic on the page
Bramlo costs £39 for each paid month: £234 over six months, £468 over twelve and £936 over twenty-four. Your domain costs extra. These totals assume the current standard price with no agreed additional work; they are not minimum terms or an annual commitment. Ask whether your budget can support the ongoing payment, rather than judging only the first month. The longer you stay, the more relevant the ownership and service arrangements become.
Bramlo’s service costs £39 per month with £0 setup fee and no minimum contract term. It includes up to five agreed brochure website pages, responsive design, hosting, SSL, foundational on-page SEO, ongoing technical maintenance and one consolidated pre-launch revision round. Your domain is purchased and owned by you separately; registration and renewal cost extra. Up to 30 minutes of minor content changes are included per billing month, with unused time expiring.
Compare like with like
A DIY website involves your own design and maintenance time. An upfront build may include ownership rights that a managed subscription does not. Another monthly service may include a minimum term, a setup charge or different update limits. Obtain the written scope from every provider. Compare the number of pages, content work, responsive design, hosting, support, domain renewal, revisions and exit arrangements. This guide does not claim a typical market-wide build price or a guaranteed saving.
Ask what happens after the first version
One consolidated pre-launch revision round is included. Send feedback together so it can be implemented as one agreed pass. Up to 30 minutes of minor content edits are included each billing month; unused minutes expire. Redesigns, new features and extra pages need a separate quote. If you expect regular new landing pages or daily content work, estimate that workload before choosing a basic brochure service.
Cancel anytime, effective at the end of the paid billing period. The managed website service then ends; your domain and supplied content remain yours. This subscription is not an outright purchase of Bramlo’s code or design. Read the service terms and agree any transfer arrangements in writing before ordering.
Do not assume a return on the subscription
A website may help someone assess your business, but it cannot promise new customers. Compare the cost against your margins and how people find you today. As an illustrative calculation only, a job contributing £80 after its direct costs would cover two £39 service payments with £2 left, before other business costs. That does not predict two months of leads or mean the website generated that job. Record qualified enquiries and their source so you can evaluate actual value.
Use the preview to make the decision concrete
Check whether the first draft explains the right services, looks credible and gives visitors an obvious next step. Read it on a phone as well as a computer. Make a combined list of in-scope feedback, check the final facts and agree launch timing. If the package does not fit, a free initial preview request does not oblige you to subscribe. Compare monthly and one-off purchases before committing.
